Nintendo removes its most recent Switch update without any explanation, with some suspecting that it's causing technical glitches for users.

There are plenty of reasons for fans to be excited to own a Nintendo Switch console. Some popular games are coming out, and the rumored Nintendo Switch Pro console is likely to be available for gamers who weren't able to get their hands on the console before.

To further improve the consumer's experience on the console, Nintendo has been providing upkeep with constant firmware updates for the Switch that have fixed previous issues in the past relating to stability and Bluetooth. Recently, the 12.0.3 update came out not too long ago, citing to fix similar issues of stability and other minor issues.

However, it seems Nintendo has halted user access to the 12.0.3 system update after just a few hours. This is the first time the company has done this for the Switch unexpectedly like this. There is currently no official word as of yet for the sudden update canceling. However, many are speculating that it is because the update was causing some technical errors for the console.

Many Switch owners have taken to Twitter to list their problems with the update, stating how it was causing various different issues. Some are saying it was affecting how they download new games and install updates for existing ones. Others were commenting on their experiences with other types of glitches, such as not being able to transfer save data to a different Switch console and images and videos being deleted from their gallery. However, others claim that these are fake claims and that the update only affects the eShop.

While the exact problem may seem confusing right now, another Twitter user named OatmealDome, who is known for their thorough data mining into Nintendo hardware, goes into extensive details for all the technical aspects of the update. They listed the update to only include different fixes, such as updating the bad words list and improving connection to a server. To them, it didn't seem like anything was too out of the ordinary, but they questioned why support for TLSv1.3 was left out.

While the direct cause of these issues is not explicitly known yet, it is best to wait and see what Nintendo's response to the issue is yet before any big assumptions are made. It seems that some people's Switch consoles have reverted back to the previous versions on their own, while some still have the update and are worried about what they should do. Hopefully, Nintendo will be able to resolve the situation soon and get its fans back to playing the games they love.
