While the fantasy genre is teeming with originality, elves have become a mystical staple of it - from the works of J. R. R. Tolkien to the Elder Scrolls franchise. As off-the-wall as Square Enix's Final Fantasy series can get at times, the genre-defining JRPG is no different.
