Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is quickly approaching its fourth Season, and while games are thrilled about the new content that is on the way, some want to see more quality-of-life features. One of the most requested Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War features has to do with unlocked items, and it has appeared in other games.
Whenever Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans unlock an item, be it a camo, gesture, or vehicle skin, it will be marked with a bright green tag in the main menu. The same tag appears for calling cards and emblems as well, and with a battle pass constantly active alongside marketplace bundles, gamers are always acquiring new gear. This ensures that the tags are always on screen, even if gamers are doing their best to clear them consistently.

With so many tags for new items on-screen, gamers are stuck looking at some unsightly menus in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. As such, they may want the new item tags gone, but removing them is a tedious process. Gamers need to clear each item one by one, a process that could take several minutes depending on just how many items a player has uncleared. As a result, Redditors like thedudethedudegoesto are asking for a mark all as read button.
The Redditor shows one of the tags in his vehicle menu, specifically for the FAV. The vehicle is currently bugged in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, as the FAV will show up as having a new item to clear even if gamers have checked all their skins, music, and horns. If the game featured the requested mark all button, though, fans would be able to work around the issue. As pointed out by Reddit user Garrison_m991, this would hardly be the first time that the feature has appeared.
In 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, a remove all button saw gamers able to clear new items. With a similar Seasonal format that features tons of battle pass loot, event items, and marketplace bundles, this was a welcome addition. It also was not available at launch, so many are hoping the same happens here. As pointed out by Redditor bobagolf, the feature also appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. As such, it is weird to see it included in two games but be left behind in the latest title.
As of now, it remains to be seen if Treyarch will add this quality-of-life feature to the game. With other small-but-meaningful additions like Custom Mods being made, fans have a reason to be optimistic about it eventually making an appearance.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
