Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans break apart the final cutscene for Season 3, finding some secrets that tie into multiplayer and Zombies.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 end cutscene was released yesterday, and it saw some significant plot developments set up for Season 4. However, it seems like this cinematic was hiding some big secrets as well, as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans have been picking apart the video.

In the scene, Stitch can be talking to his associates Knight and Wraith. The agents of Perseus remark on Adler’s rescue, hinting that they have already brainwashed the CIA agent. They also mention the Verdansk test subjects, possibly hinting at a new Call of Duty: Warzone event like 80s Action Heroes. Their mention of a “man in South Africa” also has fans theorizing, and while it will be interesting to see where the next three Seasons take these teasers, there is more to this scene than meets the eye.

Reddit user Kalinine pointed out an interesting blueprint in the background, with the document depicting the same KH-9 Satellite from the map of the same name. Intriguingly, Stitch mentions that “their satellites are interfering” with the group’s broadcast, with Wraith then delivering the line about Perseus’ South African ally. With the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War map Satellite set in South Africa, the player theorizes that it could be playing a role in the Season 4 intro cinematic.

According to Kalinine, players could see the Satellite map’s crash created in the intro, with Stitch, Wraith, and Knight shooting it down. This could give the map some more backstory, and it has been hinted that a new South Africa map is incoming. Supposedly called Dune, this rumored 12v12 map will feature in Combined Arms, with a Strike variant like Crossroads and Armada also being possible. While this is just a rumor, this Satellite teaser certainly hints at Dune being a reality.

While a South African map that expands on Satellite is certainly an interesting possibility, fans have also found a surprising Call of Duty Zombies reference in the trailer. Spotlighted by Redditor Bobtopolis, the hospital where Adler is rescued boast a striking resemblance to Verrukt. In fact, it is almost a perfect copy, with the same flooring seen as well as the red and white walls. While this is likely just reused assets as opposed to another remake of the beloved Asylum, some fans are theorizing that the area could be added to Call of Duty: Warzone.

While fans may need to wait until Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 for answers, there is a chance that the Summer Game Fest reveal provides some insight. With this trailer arriving tomorrow, it will be interesting to see if these Satellite and Verrukt references are addressed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
