Paul W.S. Anderson, the director of Resident Evil, is working on a new movie based on the classic Sega horror games.

Delighting fright-flick fanatics and zombie gamers everywhere, a new The House of the Dead movie is being adapted and is in the works with Resident Evil's Paul W.S. Anderson set to write and direct. Released by Sega in 1997, The House of the Dead was one of the most popular games to be seen in arcades across the globe, as people, young and old, picked up a light gun in a mission to clear hordes of zombies over countless levels. Along with the popularity of Resident Evil, House of the Dead is credited with popularizing zombie video games, further leading to a massive boom in the appeal of zombie films, especially during the 2000s.
