The beautiful open-world exploration game, Sable, announces its release date during Summer Game Fest Kickoff with a musical performance.

During Summer Game Fest Kickoff live event today, the released date for the open-world indie game Sable was confirmed. In addition, the announcement was made as the lead singer from Japanese Breakfast performed "Glider," a song from the game.

The developer of Sable, Shedworks, is a two-person development studio based in the UK. After working on building apps and websites with other collaborators, Sable will be the team's first video game developed by the studio and was first revealed in 2018.

Sable will be released on September 22, 2021. The game focuses on open-world exploration and puzzle-solving in a beautiful world, which was on full display during the musical performance. Sable is considered a highly anticipated game by many, and fans will be excited to learn the release date of the game, which is right around the corner.

So far, Summer Game Fest Kickoff has featured many indie and AAA games, though Sable is the only game shown off as part of a musical performance. In the footage shown during the performance, the main character is seen traversing the world on foot, floating through the air, and riding on a vehicle which clearly demonstrates the developer's goal of focusing on creating a world to be traveled and explored.

Sable is due out on September 22nd, 2021, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X.
