Throughout the story of Bleach, Ichigo has gone up against countless opponents, many of whom have pushed the plucky protagonist to his limit due to their strength and powerful abilities. While Ichigo managed to make it out of each of these encounters in one piece, albeit barely in some instances, there were a select few that went a long way in developing him as a character.
