Here is the scoop on where to find Xur in Destiny 2, what exotic items he has for sale on June 11, and whether any are worth the shards.

The future of Destiny 2 continues to be a hot topic among the community, likely triggered from Bungie's Witch Queen tease last week with the suspected Old Chicago screenshot. With the expansion still quite a ways away, launching in early 2022, fans have naturally been dissecting the image apart, looking for any sort of potential details. However, some players may have stumbled into planned content right inside of the game earlier than anticipated.

YouTuber JB3 posted a video of their fireteam glitching into an area known as Quarantine Zone 236. This location was featured in the Red War campaign which has since been vaulted, though Bungie appears to be using it as a testing ground. After breaking into the zone, numerous Guardian statues can be found, though the zone now has destructible elements added to it. Using a Titan melee strike causes grass to shoot into the air and the nearby trees to crumble and fall apart to the ground. This physics interaction isn't something the game currently has, so many have speculated this to be a potential addition down the road.

For now, the weekend has arrived which means the exotic merchant Xur has once again brought his wares to the world for players to check out over the next few days. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cypher quest, as well as a review of what he's currently selling for the weekend of June 11, 2021 inside of Destiny 2.

As most may have assumed, Xur has returned to his usual spot at the Tower Hangar this week, which has quickly become his go to spot.

Fast travel to the main Tower location and head left into the Hangar. Once there, take another left and move past the Dead Orbit section to find a metal staircase. Move up the stairs to find Xur on a platform overlooking the mountain range off in the distance.

While Xur's role is essentially the same as it was prior to the Beyond Light expansion, the exotic merchant also has weekly quests that players can acquire to unlock an exotic cypher. Not only are these required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the new kiosk. Players can earn a new cypher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.

Other than that, here are Xur's three gear pieces this weekend:

Chromatic Fire - Warlock chest armor

The unique looking Warlock exotic has remained relatively untouched as of late, avoiding the sandbox changes Bungie made to many exotics are the start of the Season of the Worthy. For those who somehow don't have it yet, it's worth getting for situations where players are up against lots of enemies.

Its perk, Crystalline Transistor, causes an explosion, in the element of the player’s equipped subclass, after a kinetic precision kill. Having lots of enemies in a tight spot really maximizes the elemental damage. For PvP players, other guardians have mentioned that this armor is good when using particular weapons that cause explosions like Ace of Spades. One thing to keep in mind that it currently does not work with Stasis subclasses, so players will need to use the classic trio to maximize the benefits of this gear. For better or worse, this item has the biggest stat roll this week, coming in at a total of 64.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +2
  • Resilience +16
  • Recovery +15
  • Discipline +13
  • Intellect +8
  • Strength +10

St0mp-EE5 - Hunter leg armor

The often requested boots known as "Stompies" are back with Xur this weekend. These are purely movement-based exotics and excel at helping players overcome more platform heavy missions like Raids, or exotic quests such as Harbinger. While there are much better options for more combat specific modes such as Crucible, the St0mp-EE5 should absolutely be apart of any Hunter's armor rotation.

Subclass neutral, these boots are extremely good for elevating player movement. Its intrinsic perk, Hydraulic Boosters, increase player sprint speed and slide distance. In addition, this exotic further improves High Jump, Strafe Jump, and Triple Jump. Unfortunately, the roll on this gear this week isn't great, not even hitting a total of 60. The mobility is nice, but the rest of it isn't great.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +18
  • Resilience +10
  • Recovery +2
  • Discipline +2
  • Intellect +14
  • Strength +13

Severance Enclosure - Titan leg armor

The Severance Enclosure comes with an exotic perk called Spheromatik Trigger which unleashes a damaging explosion after an Arc, Solar, or Void melee final blow. Finishers and final blows against more powerful enemies increase the radius and damage of the explosion.

While it may not be the best Titan exotic, it's no doubt a fun one to play around with especially in this current season. Similar to the Warlock's Felwinter's Helm exotic, many of the seasonal mods and Warmind Cells can result in room clearing damage when paired with this gear. Ultimately, it's not a required purchase by any means, though it may be worth it for those who want to mess around and have a bit of fun.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +6
  • Resilience +14
  • Recovery +12
  • Discipline +6
  • Intellect +21
  • Strength +2

Originally introduced inside of the Forsaken expansion, Bungie went ahead and made this item a pre-order bonus for those who opted into Shadowkeep before it launched. The Two-Tailed fox is a rocket launcher that fires two elemental rockets, one void and one solar. Better yet, these rockets can track the same target. The void rocket also suppresses the target while the solar one does damage over time.

While this is a fun weapon to use, rocket launchers just are not exactly top of the heavy meta at the moment especially for Crucible users who tend to stick to machine guns or grenade launchers. It certainly has its uses in particular game modes, but this is likely a weapon that most veteran Destiny 2 players have already. For those who don't, it's not a required weapon by any means but it can be fun to mess around with.

Additional perks:

  • Confined Launch
  • High Velocity Rounds
  • Composite Stock

Here's the complete rundown of Xur's entire stock in Destiny 2 for June 11, 2021:
