'The Good Place' star Jameela Jamil is venturing into the MCU after being cast as a villain for the upcoming Disney Plus series 'She-Hulk'.

A classic Marvel villain will be making an appearance in Disney Plus’ upcoming series She-Hulk and the studio has already recruited someone to play the role. The Good Place star Jameela Jamil will be making her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to portray the role of Titania, a supervillain from the comics.

The plot of the She-Hulk series is still being kept under wraps, but the reveal about Titania by Variety is a big one. In the comics, she is one of She-Hulk's main rivals and possesses super strength, along with superhuman levels of durability and stamina. She is a great fighter and it would be interesting to see Jamil portray her abilities on the small screen.

Jamil is well known for her portrayal of Tahani Al-Jamil in the critically-acclaimed NBC comedy The Good Place, a character who is all about floral dresses and public appearances. Seeing her donning a supervillain costume and going up against She-Hulk is something that has got MCU fans very excited. Jamil is currently a judge on the HBO Max competition series Legendary and even hosts the TBS game show The Misery Index, none of which could prepare her for her upcoming role.

The She-Hulk series will focus on the character of Jennifer Walters, portrayed by Tatiana Maslany, who in the comics is a competent lawyer and the cousin of Bruce Banner, a.k.a The Hulk. After she is shot by a mobster, she has to undergo a blood transfusion and none other than Banner arrives to help. She inherits his powers after receiving his mutated blood and that’s when her journey of being She-Hulk begins. However, unlike her cousin, she is able to control her emotions and retain most of her personality when she transforms.

Apart from Maslany and Jamil, She-Hulk has a full roster of a star-studded cast already, including Oscar nominee Tim Roth, Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Ginger Gonzaga. Mark Ruffalo has also been spotted on the sets and will be reprising his role as Banner in the upcoming Disney Plus series.

She-Hulk is one of many MCU shows currently under production for Disney Plus. While WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have already aired and were both extremely successful, Loki is currently streaming and bringing back the fan-favorite God of Mischief in a world where time travel is a daily occurrence. Several other shows are already in the pipeline, including Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye.

She-Hulk is currently under production and does not have a release date.
