The newest trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One drops, providing fans with a foreboding glimpse at the open-world detective game's story.

During the 2021 IGN Expo, another trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One was revealed, and it was quite intense. The trailer demonstrated a much darker atmosphere for the game as it seems like Sherlock will be struggling with a great loss in Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One.

The first gameplay trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One was released in March 2021, and since then, the developers have been releasing more information. Like previous Sherlock Holmes games, Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One will allow players to investigate crimes and solve mysteries using their own deductive reasoning.

The trailer features Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, and while things seem normal at first, things seem to get dark very quickly. Throughout the trailer, Dr. Watson's narration is very foreboding as he warns Sherlock that this case will be difficult. With a step into a muddy puddle, the music sores, and the trailer begins to show off more dramatic and occult imagery. Finally, the trailer closes with Sherlock collapsing to his knees at the grave of Violet Homes as rain pours down.

The trailer does not reveal an exact release date just yet, and the game is still only known to be releasing sometime in 2021. The fact that the game is set to come out in chapters could mean that Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One releases in the next few months, and we could be hearing more about it soon.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is due out later in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S..
