There are a total of two crew challenges in Borderlands 3. Each is relatively simple if gamers know where to look. Apart from the Dead Claptrap and Legendary Hunt, though, there really isn't that much of interest in the Pyre of Stars apart from a red chest and Eridian Writing.

The large Eridian dungeon is crawling with enemies to fight, including the powerful Brood Mother. This quick guide will help players find all of the above items and defeat the mini-boss to claim the Crew Challenge rewards. Gamers can clear the entire chamber in one session.
One of the Crew Challenges is to find the Dead Claptrap, which is one of the easiest missions in the game. The only steps are heading to the location and picking up the item. See the map above for the location of the item on the end of the map. This particular Claptrap will be salvaged for a sarcasm module, because a sarcastic robot makes a better best friend.
Travel to the location above to find the mini-boss' lair. This Legendary Hunt is one of the few in the game that don't always spawn an enemy. As a result, gamers may have to return at a later time after leaving the dungeon and/or planet. She should spawn after running though the Pyre two or three times, as the spawn chance is 25%.

At this point in the game, the Brood Mother will be no match for a leveled-up vault hunter. Most players will be able to take her down in just a few seconds. Separate from the hunt rewards, she drops a few other notable items, which are included below for those that are interested.
This artifact provides a number of different benefits. Slam creates an AOE aura with an increased radius, as well as a 105% damage increase. Additionally, shields are increased by 100% and recharge rate is increased by 25%, at the cost of a 20% recharge delay.

The description asks "What do we say to the God of Death?", to which we respond "not today". Deathless is a cool artifact that players may want to consider farming off the mini-boss.
The Brood Mother has a good chance to drop the pistol, which has some unique traits. It has a 300% damage buff when an enemy is over 90% health, and provides passive reload and critical damage buffs. Vault hunters can use the fast-firing pistol to weaken stronger enemies before swapping to a primary weapon. After that first 10% of health goes down though, this gun isn't very good compared to other legendary options.
After an action skill is used, the launcher has 50% more damage for the next 8 shots. The rocket launcher also has a huge splash radius and is very effective against armored enemies. However, this gun shoots all four rockets at once, so hunters will want to use their shots wisely. Scourge has a 33% critical chance, making it an impressive legendary weapon.
The Broodmother's boss-specific drop is quite bad, as gun doesn't have a large enough magazine size to take down more than a few enemies. Furthermore, it also does not do much damage. Broodmother's special effect allows bullets to pass through enemies and damage other AI. In reality, the effect only works if there are enemies in a straight line, which rarely happens. Players can consider themselves forewarned that this thing is useless.
There are two final things that vault hunters will want to pick up in the Pyre of Stars. The image above marks the approximate location of the Box (red) and the Eridian Writing (green). When looking for the box, there is a diamond shape cut out of the stone walls near that area. Inside of that diamond, gamers will find the red chest. For the chest to appear, the user must have all three Typhon Logs in their possession. The Eridian Writing is much easier to spot on the map, and it will be in the center of a platform.
