Among Ubisoft's announcements during E3 was an update on Ghost Recon Breakpoint and what fans can expect from Ghost Recon's 20th anniversary.

Ubisoft joined E3 weekend to unveil some of the projects it has been working on, including a teaser for the upcoming Ghost Recon anniversary which is set to take place on November 13.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint may have released to much criticism, but Ubisoft still has plans for the future of the franchise. Ubisoft hasn't officially confirmed what it has planned for Ghost Recon's 20th anniversary but apparently, several things are planned throughout the year. This may include free updates for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, upcoming DLC, or potentially a future game in the series.

Ubisoft shared a brief video alongside the Ghost Recon anniversary trailer on Twitter which emphasizes how much Breakpoint has evolved since it released in 2019. Ubisoft has evolved the Ghost Recon Breakpoint through community feedback shared online and the game has improved as a result. The clip showed off both Sam Fisher and the Terminator who both joined Ghost Recon Breakpoint since the game released. Considering the inclusion of these two characters in the montage video, it may not be a stretch to think another character may be coming to Breakpoint sometime during the 20th anniversary.

While November 13 is the official twentieth anniversary of the Ghost Recon franchise, Ubisoft was quick to remind fans that the anniversary will be celebrated at various points throughout the year. They have officially announced many surprises to come for Ghost Recon fans this year, but haven't suggested what any of those will be. The Ghost Recon Twitter account encourages fans of Ghost Recon to look out for more intel and will likely have more to share about the future of Ghost Recon Breakpoint in a matter of months.

Ghost Recon looked a lot different when the first game released for the GameCube, PC, PS2, and Xbox back in 2001. Graphics have come a long way over the years in order for Ghost Recon Breakpoint to perfectly emulate the likeness of actor Jon Bernthal. Ubisoft has already shown off Ghost Recon Breakpoint's 2021 roadmap but according to the recent teaser, there may be much more to come to the open-world tactical shooter.

Ubisoft Forward was also at E3 to unveil more details for Riders Republic, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Rainbow Six Siege, and Just Dance. Ubisoft Forward is just one of the several events planned for E3 weekend, with the Xbox and Bethesda game showcase coming on June 13. E3 2022 has also been officially confirmed and it will take place in Los Angeles as usual.
