Genshin Impact: The Best Builds For Rosaria | Game Rant

A 4-star polearm user, Rosaria can be a great asset in most teams. What are the best builds to consider for this Cryo character?

Though it has been a long time since Genshin Impact's release in 2020, it is still constantly expanding. Teyvat continues to expand with each passing week, as the story now looks to expand into its third country. Likewise, organizations (Knights of Favonius) continue to become more and more complex as characters are released.

One of these new characters, Rosaria, very much does this as the first polearm-user to be released outside of Liyue. As a sister in the Mondstadt Church, she brings a more conflicted personality to the organization that hasn't been seen in their other nuns. Nonetheless, many players find it difficult to build the new Cryo-polearm.

Rosaria is a Cryo-polearm user with a strong focus on attack. With talents naturally infused with Cryo energy, Rosaria gives players a lot of potential as both a DPS and support. Her normal attacks pack a punch, even compared to other polearms.

As for her element skill, Rosaria utilizes teleportation to get behind similarly-sized opponents (much like Kaeya). On the other hand, her elemental burst brings heavy offensive power; creating a Cryo-infused zone of effect after launching a massive ice lance.

For Rosaria, the DPS build is the easiest build to consider. Her talents make attacks easy to use, all with considerable damage scales. Given how her damage leans towards the higher side, it's easy to see how building these stats up to DPS level would be an easy task.

However, there is a consideration about focusing on physical damage or elemental damage. Players that choose to use Rosaria's normal attacks for primary damage will need to build differently than those focusing on using her skills.

While Rosaria's damage scales are considerable, she also has potential as an enabler. A sub-set of the support side of Genshin Impact, enablers focus on setting up elemental statuses for reactions. Rosaria can become a natural member of this group, given that her talents naturally deal Cryo damage.

Building for the enabler/support build can be a difficult task for newcomers. Generally, stats tend to focus on making attacks stronger outside of elemental mastery. However, keeping a careful eye on artifact choices will make the process a whole lot easier.

Artifacts are the main factor in building any character. However, this is especially the case for Rosaria, given that there isn't one stat that needs to be focused on for all builds. Like Jean with attack, some characters have skills that scale to one stat; Rosaria isn't one of these characters.

For those looking to focus on a DPS build, most attack stats will be beneficial. Crit rate and damage should also be increased for maximum damage output. As for sets, Bloodstained Chivalry will provide the best results for a physical DPS build. Gladiator's Finale is also a good all-around set for DPS, given that it's a little bit more easily accessible.

On a side note, for those looking to build a Cryo DPS, energy recharge can be beneficial to keep in mind. Rosaria's burst, Rite of Termination, hits incredibly hard. Increasing energy collection will increase the frequency of these attacks, making for an increase in damage output.

For those looking to make Rosaria a support character, elemental mastery and energy recharge would be good stats to focus on. While attack stats are always beneficial, Rosaria already has good scales in these stats.

Artifact-wise, there isn't a particularly perfect set for this build. At least, not for the primary purpose of an enabler, however, it is true that Cryo-boosting sets will work better than others. Therefore, players will find that sets like Blizzard Slayer will fit nicely with the enabler build. On another note, Noblesse Oblige is always a good support set, given how much supports and enablers use their elemental burst.

While there often is a difference between builds for weapons, the distinction isn't strong for Rosaria. Most 4-star to 5-star polearms will provide for a good experience in most builds. That said, some polearms in the game have attributes better suited to each of Rosaria's builds.

For the DPS player, polearms that focus on increasing attack and critical hits will bring about the best results. For example, Deathmatch offers a lot of benefits in this regard, with increasing attack boosts as opponents fall in battle. The Staff of Homa, though not always as accessible, is perhaps the best polearm for DPS main. With a health boost and attack scaled to Max HP, this polearm will give Rosaria a heavy increase in damage potential.

As for the enabler build, Rosaria suits herself towards polearms that specifically increase the effectiveness of Cryo attacks. One great example, the Dragonspine Spear, features increased icicle damage going up to 200% if the opponent is influenced by Cryo status. Alternatively, Crescent Pike offers a more general elemental approach. In this case, attack is increased after absorbing an elemental orb (a common occurrence for any enabler.)

The Genshin Impact experience has always been defined by teamwork. Contrary to Rosaria's lone-wolf mentality, she also follows this basic principle. Rosaria's best team will depend greatly on how she, in particular, is built.

As a DPS, Rosaria will be front and center for the entirety of the battle. Members of the party that work behind the scenes are best in these situations. Like Jean and Noelle, crowd-controlling characters help to bring opponents into tactical areas for all DPS builds. That said, be aware that players that build for Cryo DPS will need an enabler to set up reactions; characters with element-infused attacks are good additions, like Xinyan or Barbara.

However, with an enabler build, Rosaria is going to take the back seat. Granted, she needs more interaction than other enablers (like Fischl and her companion Oz), but your other teammates will see more action. Strong Pyro and Electro characters work well for the main DPS, like Diluc and Bennett. Having a Hydro character for frozen reactions can also increase results, regardless of the build.
