A Plague Tale: Requiem, the next chapter of the series after A Plague Tale: Innocence, is coming to Microsoft platforms in 2022.

A Plague Tale: Innocence came out two years ago and became something of a cult classic. With a dark and frightening atmosphere, the action/puzzle game hovers somewhere on the verge of a true horror experience and has over one million copies sold.

One of the biggest draws of A Plague Tale: Innocence is its story, painting a frightening tale of a supernatural evil that hounds two children. With young characters and a decided sense of vulnerability throughout, it captured many players' hearts. Among its other selling points were the historical setting and the dynamic between its leads, with the main character being a sister protecting her brother. Now a sequel has been revealed, and it's launching on Game Pass.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and is set to come out in 2022 with a debut on Game Pass. While it's a safe bet that it will be much like its predecessor (also on Xbox Game Pass), there may well be some changes considering where the last game's story ended up. In addition, the trailer depicts a much brighter and more vibrant looking world than the first game depicted, but whether it will stay that way is anyone's guess.

A Plague Tale: Requiem will release for PC and Xbox consoles in 2022.
