Epic Games has surprised Fortnite fans by announcing that the game will release a first-person 5v5 tactical mode called Ballistic in early access on Wednesday, December 11. This isn't the first time Fortnite has decided to shake things up. While the game is best known for its battle royale mode, it has also introduced new modes like LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite OG. All of these new ways to engage with the game have expanded Fortnite's offerings and pulled in many new fans.
