Fans who hopped in fast to play the demo version of Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for PS5 were met with nothing but errors.

Square Enix's last reveal for Square Enix Presents for E3 was the Soulslike Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. The biggest reveal of its part of the presentation was that for PlayStation 5 owners, a demo would be live shortly after the show, but getting it would be a different story.

The trailer showed off the protagonist of the new title, along with his party members, as they narrated about defeating monsters and Chaos, all set over new brutal gameplay for the new installment of Final Fantasy.  The final line of the trailer seems to be the antagonist of the game, declaring "I have become Chaos" before showing the title in the usual Final Fantasy flare and splendor.

While the trailer ended that the demo would be available on PS5 "soon," it dropped after Square Enix Presents was over, leading excited fans to go run to download it. Those who were ready to sink their teeth into what the demo had to offer have been met with trouble instead, with error messages saying the data of the demo is "corrupted," and that it needed to be deleted and redownloaded.

Square Enix was quickly made aware of the issues and tweeted to reassure fans that the demo is being worked on as fast as possible. Fans quoted the many times the characters in the newly released trailer spoke of the antagonist, saying things like "this is truly Chaos" underneath the post, among other things.

Hopefully, Square Enix will see the end of the Chaos jokes in time once the errors have been cleared and fans can see their new vision for Final Fantasy for themselves.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be available in 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, PS4, and PS5.
