Much like the strongest fire-type Pokemon trainers, a long list of Water-type experts and specialists populate the many regions of the Pokemon world. Water experts are usually (but not always) the leaders of Pokemon battling facilities such as gyms and the Elite Four, with water trainers such as Wallace venturing higher to league champion status.
