Activision gives an advanced look at what new content is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone this week as part of the upcoming Season 4.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is just around the corner. Ahead of its release, publisher Activision has revealed exactly what players can expect from Call of Duty: Warzone's newest season.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 4 was just recently revealed during Summer Game Fest's kickoff event livestream. Season 3 started off with a highly anticipated nuke event that blew up the game's Verdansk map and sent it back into the 1980s. Each new season brings new weapons, operators, maps, and more content to the game, and Season 4 looks like it will deliver plenty of new content for all Call of Duty: Warzone players.

The news comes via a blog post on the Call of Duty website that details what will all be added. One of Season 4's biggest new additions is five new weapons. When the season launches the MG 82 LMG, C58 Assault Rifle, Nail Gun SMG, and Mace melee weapon will all be added to the game. The real standout is the new Nail Gun that is just a fully automatic nail gun able to kill players with three shots when engaging at close range. Of course, players will be able to customize all of the weapons with Call of Duty: Warzone's many sights, attachments, camos, and blueprints.

A final new weapon comes in the form of a new scorestreak, the Hand Cannon. The new scorestreak will be able to kill players with a single shot as well as dealing some serious damage to enemy scorestreak vehicles. Season 4 will also add three new operators to Call of Duty: Warzone's stable of playable characters. At launch, players will be able to get Jackal, a member of the Warsaw Pact whose red mask is featured in the season's trailer and key art. Later in the season, NATO operatives Salah and Weaver will also be added for players to pick up through bundles from the game's store.

Season 4 looks like it will bring quite a lot of new content to Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, making it a good time for fans to jump back in no matter what game mode they prefer. Of course, fans are still waiting for official news on 2021's Call of Duty entry, as well as the leaked new map for Call of Duty: Warzone. While players wait for any news, however, they have plenty of new content coming their way from Season 4.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with Season 4 launching June 17.
