The newest overview for Halo Infinite multiplayer reveals that there will be a training mode that will help newcomers excel at Halo multiplayer.

A lot of the finer details regarding Halo Infinite were recently revealed during the Xbox showcase event. New information regarding the story campaign, gameplay, and multiplayer of Halo Infinite was shown off for fans to see. However, one detail that may have slipped through the cracks is that Halo Infinite will include a mode intended to help newer players.

Since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved on the original Xbox, multiplayer has been an integral part of the Halo series. To this day, there are players that are extremely experienced with the ins and outs of Halo's multiplayer, which can make newcomers to the series hesitant to jump head first into the multiplayer. Luckily, Halo Infinite features a mode that's specifically designed to train players who are unfamiliar with Halo's intense multiplayer.

The new Academy mode serves as a hub for players to practice with different weapons, learn more about Halo's lore, and perhaps the most exciting addition, the ability to set up bot matches so that new players can practice in a multiplayer environment. This is the first Halo game to feature anything like this and in many ways, it makes sense to have a training mode in Halo Infinite.

For the longest time, Halo Infinite has served as the flagship title for the Xbox Series X and is one of the most highly anticipated games releasing for the system. A lot of players will likely buy a Series X/S just to play Halo Infinite, which will potentially include a lot of newcomers. Thus, having a mode dedicated specifically to practicing the basics of Halo multiplayer is quite ingenious.

Not to mention that the multiplayer of Halo is significantly different from the single-player campaigns. While they both share the same gameplay elements, Halo multiplayer is a lot more multifaceted, due to the confinement of the maps, the variance in gameplay modes, the ability to customize what weapons and vehicles spawn on the map, and many other mechanics. This means that new players will have to adapt to various different gameplay scenarios, unlike the single-player campaigns, which largely consists of eliminating enemies and then moving on to the next area of the level.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what else 343 Industries has in store in terms of Halo Infinite. A lot was shown off during the showcase and while a release date wasn't revealed during the event, the game is still confirmed to release in 2021. Therefore, it's safe to assume that there's a lot more content that has yet to be unveiled.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to launch this holiday season for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
