Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most powerful Naruto characters, and quite easily one of the most well-written ones as well. His journey has been full of ups and downs, and throughout the years, he has continued to grow, both in terms of his strength and in terms of his ideology as well. Even though Sasuke started his journey in Naruto as protector of the Leaf and as a member of Team 7, he grew to oppose the village and swore vengeance upon it for what it did to his brother Itachi.
