Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming to Nintendo Switch in the next few months, and the port will include the first two DLCs for the game.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch in the next few months after the success of the game on other platforms. However, it is more of a semi-perfect version than a complete edition, as some of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's DLC will not be included.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was well-received when it came out in early 2020, but it was not without some disappointing parts. Still, many Dragon Ball fans enjoyed being able to play through the story of the classic anime and battle against some of Goku's toughest foes.

A trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was shown during Nintendo's E3 Direct. While much of the trailer recapped the Dragon Ball Z story arcs featured in the game, the ending did confirm that the first two pieces of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC, titled "A New Power Awakens," would be included in the game. However, it seems like the Trunks - The Warrior of Hope DLC will not be part of the package, though that is understandable as the DLC only just released on June 11. The trailer also revealed that the port of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would be released on September 24.

The main game of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is full of nostalgia, and it does a great job of bringing the world of Dragon Ball Z to life. The game is even broken up into episodic story sections, which could work well with Nintendo Switch's portability. Players can treat the game like watching the anime by playing an episode a time on the go. Though, players that choose to do that should be aware that some episodes take longer to complete than others. Also, the "A New Power Awakens" DLC is both entertaining and disappointing, though they give players new power-ups and items to speed up leveling up.

One concern is that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot had performance issues on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, both of which are more powerful than the Nintendo Switch. In the trailer, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot already looks to be running sluggishly on Switch as the game is dropping frame fairly often. Still, the more people that can play a game, the better, and Bandai Namco has managed to port big games to the Switch in the past. When the game was released, many wondered if a Switch port of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was possible, and the answer looks to be yes.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will land on Nintendo Switch on September 24.
