Players that are trying to complete Fortnite's 'interact with a dead drop in Weeping Woods' challenge can find help in this guide.

Fortnite's Season 7 Week 2 legendary quests are now available for players to complete, and they unfold over five stages. The first of those stages centers around interacting with a dead drop in Weeping Woods, and some fans may be confused about exactly how that is done. Fortunately, it is quite simple to interact with a dead drop in Fortnite, and this guide contains all of the details that players will need in order to complete this new challenge.

To get right to it, the first step to tackling this Fortnite legendary quest is to find a dead drop, which have the appearance of tree stumps that have been turned into safes. While players only need to interact with one of these objects to finish the challenge, there are at least five of them scattered across Weeping Woods, and the map below highlights several of their locations. Upon arriving at one of these locations, fans should simply press the input that appears onscreen to interact with the stump.

After performing this action, players should receive indication that they have completed the "interact with a dead drop in Weeping Woods" challenge and earned the associated reward. More specifically, that reward is 45,000 XP, and it is sure to be appreciated by those fans that are looking to pickup some additional Battle Stars in Fortnite Season 7. Indeed, players receive five Battle Stars every time that they level up, and that currency can be used to unlock a variety of Battle Pass items.

Fans that finish this challenge will also gain access to this week's second legendary quest, which sends them to step onto a body scanner. From there, players must converse with various NPCs, deal damage with IO Tech Weapons in Fortnite, and damage an IO guard. Notably, this batch of legendary quests will only be available until next week, and fans that want to maximize their XP gains should make sure that they complete them sooner rather than later.

These legendary quests are certainly not the only new challenges in the game, though, as an assortment of epic challenges were also added earlier this week. Those tasks ask players to destroy equipment at satellite stations, collect spray cans from warehouses in Dirty Docks or garages in Pleasant Park, and more, and there is quite a lot of XP to be claimed through their completion. Fortnite's Week 2 Alien Artifacts are also now available, and fans should be on the lookout for them as they work on the various challenges.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
