Activision and Raven Software pull the curtain back on Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, revealing everything that's coming in the new update.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 3 took the Verdansk battle royale map back to 1984, and now Season 4 is on its way, set to make even more changes to the game. The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 update is unlikely to be quite as dramatic as the Season 3 one, but it's still going to have plenty of new content, weapons, and other things for fans to look forward to when it drops on June 17.

With the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 update right around the corner, Activision and Raven Software have pulled the curtain back on what to expect. This ranges from map changes to new Operators and more.

Here's everything confirmed for the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 update so far.

Whenever a new Call of Duty: Warzone season rolls around, one of the main things fans are interested in is map changes. And like usual, Call of Duty: Warzone has some map changes in store, with Activision having officially confirmed just a few of them. There's almost certainly going to be changes to the Call of Duty: Warzone map in the Season 4 update that go unmentioned in the patch notes, so fans of the battle royale should keep that in mind.

As far as confirmed map changes, the big one is the Satellite Crash Sites. As part of Call of Duty: Warzone's Ground Fall event, satellites are going to fall out of the sky and land on Verdansk. These Satellite Crash Site areas in Call of Duty: Warzone are definitely going to be worth exploring for players as they will be home to all kinds of important loot and other helpful items. Fans can expect these areas to be hot landing areas when Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 starts on June 17, so travel to them with caution.

Another map change confirmed by Activision is the addition of Red Doors. Call of Duty: Warzone's Red Doors leaked some time ago, so while Activision itself has stayed mum on what their exact function it is, fans already have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Basically, the Call of Duty: Warzone Red Doors are going to function as a fast-travel system, something that was attempted in the past with the subway trains. Whether or not the Red Doors prove more popular than Call of Duty: Warzone's subway fast-travel remains to be seen, but fans will find out once the Doors, and their portals, open up.

And finally, the Nakatomi Plaza in Call of Duty: Warzone is coming under new management and will be renamed to Downtown Tower. Even though the Die Hard crossover event in Call of Duty: Warzone is over, it seems that the tower is here to stay. It's possible that some of the more specific Die Hard Easter eggs references will be scrubbed from it, but that remains to be seen.

Again, other changes to the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 map are likely, so fans will have to keep an eye out while exploring Verdansk.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Gulag system has been popular since the game launched, though the original was eventually replaced with a new Gulag themed after Nuketown. Then yet another new Gulag was introduced that shook things up even further. A fourth Gulag is set to make its debut in Call of Duty: Warzone with the Season 4 update, with this latest iteration based on the fan favorite Hijacked map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The Hijacked map is making its debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's multiplayer, so it's fitting for it to be featured in the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale as well.

When Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 goes live, fans can look forward to the introduction of a brand new Operator named Jackal. Yet another one of Perseus' mercenaries, Jackal will be available to those who purchase the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Battle Pass. Those that manage to advance the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Battle Pass all the way to Tier 100 will unlock the Ultra-Rarity Jackal Operator Skin.

Call of Duty: Warzone keeps combat interesting by regularly introducing new weapons and scorestreaks for players to use. Season 4 will add the C58 and MG82 weapons, as well as a literal Nail Gun. The Nail Gun is definitely drawing the most attention for being one of the more bizarre weapons available in Call of Duty: WarzoneCall of Duty: Warzone players will be able to unlock the C58 and MG82 weapons by advancing the Season 4 Battle Pass, though it's not yet clear how exactly fans will get their hands on the Nail Gun.

In the meantime, Call of Duty fans can also look forward to the new Hand Cannon scorestreak. The Hand Cannon has eight rounds and is expected to deliver significant damage to anyone unfortunate enough to be hit with it. It's not exactly clear if it will be available in Warzone, but it will at least be available for players to use in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer modes.

Speaking of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, it has enjoyed some exclusive vehicles that haven't been in Warzone, despite the two games having integrated progression. Well, that's going to change with the Season 4 update, as Activision is adding the Dirt Bike vehicle from Black Ops Cold War to Warzone. The Warzone Dirt Bike is going to be the fastest vehicle in the game once it releases, with players able to carry over any cosmetics they unlocked for it from Black Ops Cold War.

The Resurgence game mode variant has proven to be popular with Call of Duty: Warzone players battling it out on the Rebirth Island map, and now soon those who stick to Verdansk will get to see what all of the fuss is about. A type of Resurgence mode was attempted in Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk previously, but it wasn't quite the same as Rebirth Island Resurgence, and so this is the developers' second attempt to recreating the experience. After it makes its debut with the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 launch on June 17, fans can expect it to be rotated in and out of the game with the weekly updates.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is bringing a ton of content when it launches on June 17, but there will be even more content for fans to look forward to in the near future. As usual, Activision is planning a mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone, and while it's unclear exactly when that will drop, some of its content has been previewed. Now, keep in mind that some of this content may be added at other times besides the mid-season Reloaded update, but fans can count on at least some of this content coming with the Reloaded update.

This includes Call of Duty: Warzone's Payload mode, which is the first-ever objective-based mode in Warzone. It sounds like it will offer a significantly different experience than Warzone fans are used to, so it will definitely be interesting to see how the community reacts to it. New Call of Duty: Warzone Operators Salah and Waever are also coming throughout the season, and they will be joined by the OTs 9 SMG and the Mace melee weapon.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
