Call of Duty: Warzone releases Season 4 with a surprisingly obscene emote included for free with the season's new battle pass.

Call of Duty: Warzone released its Season 4 update recently, bringing a variety of new content and an entirely new battle pass full of cosmetics for players to unlock. Players with the battle pass, however, have noticed that it unlocks a notably obscene gesture emote for use in Call of Duty: Warzone.

For those who don't know, Call of Duty: Warzone is a popular battle royale title that releases seasonal updates of new content. Call of Duty: Warzone Seasons include new weapons, changes to the Verdansk map, limited-time events, new operators, and a bevy of cosmetics like calling cards, emotes, and skins.

The new obscene emote is unlocked for free and paid owners of the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 battle pass and unlocks at level 37. The emote lets players pretend to crank up their middle fingers to give opponents and squad members the finger. Of course, emotes are a popular feature in many multiplayer games such as fellow battle royale Apex Legends, and this newest one in Call of Duty: Warzone seems to be getting a good reception from its fans. The emote was quickly posted to the game's subreddit by Reddit user anagorinth quickly after the Season 4 update was released showing it on the battle pass as well as a preview of it in action.

The post shows that the emote is even accompanied by a comical cartoon sound effect, and is titled saying that whoever made the emote deserves a raise. The comments on the post are a mixed bag of reactions. Many players are sharing their agreement that the emote is a great addition to the game. Other players are taking the opportunity to express confusion as to why they can't use certain language when naming their classes or in their clan tags despite this emote being obscene and calling cards in the game featuring obscene language as well. Other commentators are also ignoring the emote completely and are instead complaining about Call of Duty: Warzone's ongoing problems with cheaters.

Regardless, it seems that many players of the game are enjoying the emote and think it is a fun addition to Call of Duty: Warzone. It is great that it is on the free part of the battle pass so that any players who want to unlock it are able to. With the launch of Season 4, now is a great time for new and returning players to jump into the game, especially so players can take part in Call of Duty: Warzone's new Ground Fall limited-time event.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
