Star-Lord hasn't been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2023's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and that franchise isn't expected to return at any stage. James Gunn has moved on to work with DC Studios, and Marvel did a great job wrapping up things for each character with the third movie. However, that has raised the question of what will happen next with Peter Quill within the MCU.
