The petition to ban popular TikTok content creator Isabella 'onlyjayus' Avila reaches an insane new milestone, but is unlikely to hit its goal.

Since social media app TikTok rose to popularity a couple of years ago, it has pushed numerous content creators to stardom in a variety of fields. Charli D'Amelio has become the world's most-famous TikToker thanks to her dancing videos, while Bella Poarch has used her TikTok fame to launch a music career. Another TikToker who has seen mainstream success after first blowing up on TikTok is Isabella "onlyjayus" Avila, though there is an increasingly popular petition calling for them to be banned from the platform.

The Change.org petition to ban onlyjayus from TikTok was started by Vanellope Von Addams, who primarily cites onlyjayus' alleged mistreating of "disabled creators and creators of color" as why they want them banned from the social media app. Onlyjayus themselves has actually gone out of their way to help promote the petition, paying to make it more visible and even making a TikTok video about it. Onlyjayus has said that if the petition reaches 13.5 million signatures, the equivalent of their TikTok followers, then they will ban themselves, though the odds of the petition hitting that milestone seem low.

While it's extremely unlikely that the onlyjayus petition will reach 13.5 million signatures, or even get close to that number at all, the petition has still surpassed an insane milestone. At the time of this writing, the petition has over 330,000 signatures, with new signatures being added with each refresh. At the rate it's going, it should pass the 500,000 signature milestone within the next day or so.

Even if the petition to ban onlyjayus from TikTok managed to hit 13.5 million signatures, it's unlikely that TikTok would go through with banning the creator. Just like with Twitch bans or any other similar platform, onlyjayus would likely need to actually break the platform's Terms of Service with their content to get banned. Even so, that hasn't stopped hundreds of thousands of people from signing the petition.

For those who may not be familiar with the situation, onlyjayus is a TikTok creator who rose to popularity mainly thanks to their "Psychology Tricks" videos, becoming popular enough to get Netflix's attention. Onlyjayus found themselves in the middle of a major controversy when private messages leaked showing them using the N word, which caused them to lose their Netflix deal and other sponsors. The latest controversy revolves around an apparent joke about people that use service animals. They said, "If a service dog ever approaches you but they're alone, that means that their owner is in trouble and they probably can't move. So you should follow them because you'll get a free wallet."

Besides having a significant presence on TikTok, onlyjayus is also a YouTuber and a Twitch streamer, primarily streaming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It will be interesting to see if they bring up the petition on Twitch or their other platforms, as that would likely give it yet another boost in signatures. Ironically for the people who made the petition, it seems like it may have the opposite effect and could make onlyjayus an even more well-known social media and Internet personality.
