The trajectory of Halo Infinite's live-service multiplayer has been all over the place since the game was released back in 2021. The multiplayer featured impressive graphics and streamlined gameplay and launch, but it was sorely lacking in content. Compared to previous Halo games, Halo Infinite was low on modes, maps, and customization items. This was tolerable at first, but with how minimal and infrequent the game's content updates were, fans quickly reached a breaking point.
