One Piece's powers, although they may seem simple at first, are far more creative than the viewer may initially expect. More often than not, Devil Fruits, that seem relatively generic at first, actually have applications that make for some of the most interesting uses of abilities in anime. Oftentimes, the creativity of the Devil Fruit user is what truly wins fights in One Piece, rather than focusing completely on raw strength.
