Fortnite has new Cosmic Summer LTMs with challenges, and this guide details how to assist teammates with eliminations in Zone Wars Trio.

There’s a Cosmic Summer event happening in Fortnite right now that has limited-time modes that can net players XP and cosmetic rewards. One of the LTMs currently available in Fortnite Season 7 is Bio's Zone Wars Trio. This limited match type has a few different challenges that can be completed, and this guide will help players with the ‘assist teammates with eliminations’ challenge to unlock XP and another summer-themed goody.

To complete this challenge, players will need to be in the correct game mode. To get to Bio’s Zone Wars from the home screen, select ‘Change,’ located under the current game mode. From here, go to the bottom row of match types and select ‘Game Mode Bio's Zone Wars Trio 1.0 - Custom Teams’.

Players will be loaded into a lobby and need to choose a number of the team they want to be a part of. It doesn’t matter what number is picked, as there will always be teammates to help with this challenge.

When loaded into a match, all players need to do is start pointing and shooting. The assists will start to rack up as long as players stick with their team. Aim to shoot as many enemy players as possible without killing them, and the challenge will eventually unlock.

To assist teammates with eliminations even quicker, it’s best to play with a friend or two. This way, all players can stick together and communicate when they have hit, but not downed, an enemy player. In addition, friends can take turns to assist or eliminate the enemy players if both want to unlock the challenge quickly.

For completing this Cosmic Summer quest, players will receive 20K XP and a Cloud Llama Board Glider. It’s a pretty easy way to get 20,000 experience points, unlike some previous Fortnite challenges. So even if the Cloud Llama Board Glider isn’t suited to players’ Fortnite cosmetic style, the challenge is worth completing for the XP alone.

There are plenty of other challenges that can earn even more XP in Fortnite’s Invasion-themed Season 7 that will help them gain levels quickly and get the Battle Pass-exclusive Superman and Rick and Morty cosmetics as soon as they can.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
