A character's dream in One Piece is one of the most important aspects of their arc in the series. It seems, more often than not, almost every facet of One Piece revolves around the dreams and goals of the characters, as well as their drive to achieve them. For this reason, many characters, including most of the Straw Hats in One Piece, have a clearly stated goal and reason for becoming a pirate that they have shared at one point or another in the story.
