As fans decide whether they will purchase Scarlet Nexus or not, one of the most important things to know is how long the game is.

The length of a game is an important factor that players must consider when purchasing, yet there isn't a single answer for what the right length is. Generally speaking, players want games to be longer so they get more out of the money they spend, but games that are too long risk causing burnout. For those players considering Scarlet Nexus as their next purchase, there are a few things to know about how long it takes to beat the game. With this information, players should have no issue deciding whether or not to buy it.

As usual, there are a few different ways that players could progress through Scarlet Nexus that will change how long it takes to beat. On the one hand, players could go straight through the story, ignoring anything considered optional in favor of getting through as fast as possible. Alternatively, completionist may want to do every side quest, collect every weapon, and 100% the game. Most players fall somewhere in the middle, though.

Scarlet Nexus takes around 25 hours to complete on average, but that isn't the full story. These numbers assume that the player is of average skill and takes some time to do some of the optional content. That said, it also only accounts for one single playthrough. Scarlet Nexus has two playable characters, Yuito and Kasane, each with their own story mode. If players go through the game twice with these two characters, they could easily get around 50 hours of play time out of it.

For completionist runs, players can expect that number to rise to around 30 to 35 hours per playthrough, or a total of 60 to 70 hours of gameplay after beating the story with both protagonists. Finally, players wanting to get through it as fast as possible could do so within 20 hours or less if they are skilled enough, though it's important to note that they wont' have much time for grinding. With both stories, that would come out to about 40 hours of gameplay.

Regardless of how players decide to progress through Scarlet Nexus, it certainly provides enough fun to make it worth the $60 price tag. Players that are concerned about it taking too long can even opt to only play through the story once, cutting down the amount of time they'll need to spend with the game significantly. It's also possible that more content will be added to the game over time, but Bandai Namco has not yet made any comments about DLC outside of cosmetics and weapons.

Scarlet Nexus releases on June 25th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
