Red Dead Redemption 2 remains a special open-world title, almost unmatched in terms of its world and NPC responsiveness, overall immersion, and the sheer believability of systems like human behavior, realistic wildlife, and dynamic weather and day-night cycles. Arguably, some of the most interesting moments in RDR2 occur naturally, in between the heavily scripted missions. Players can simply traverse the Wild West while different events unfold around them, creating unpredictable scenarios that divert them from their initial goals.
