With Dead by Daylight's fifth anniversary just around the corner, Behaviour Interactive announces that festivities will begin next week.

Dead by Daylight's live-service multiplayer has continued to benefit from fan interactions and consistent patches to the game. Dead by Daylight has also introduced downloadable content throughout its development cycle, and celebrates its longevity with occasional festivities.

Dead by Daylight celebrates anniversaries and holidays with its fanbase by having unique in-game events. Events in the past have included several different log-in rewards and exclusive cosmetics. Behaviour Interactive has recently announced a teaser for its next celebration. Details have not yet been shared about what the latest festivities will bring to Dead by Daylight, but fans will not have to wait too long to find out.

Behaviour Interactive has announced that Dead by Daylight's annual festivities will begin next week in celebration of its 5th anniversary. Dead by Daylight's anniversaries are commonly associated with a distinct theme, and introduce items, add-ons, and offerings. Last year, during the 4th Anniversary celebration, Dead by Daylight introduced a Crown cosmetic that could be worn on any original Survivor or Killer's default head model. Rather, it will be interesting to see what Dead by Daylight debuts as the exclusive rewards and cosmetics included in its 5th Anniversary content.

Many anniversary items, similar to holiday event items, are exclusive to the event and may not be used afterward. Dead by Daylight's anniversary events are only available for a limited time, and players are only able to collect an anniversary's rewards and cosmetics within that period of time. This further encourages fans to play during the event so that they may enjoy the rewards while they are still available. New content may also return players to Dead by Daylight who are already dedicated fans, and may also be an incentive for new players to join.

But while fans may anticipate Dead by Daylight's upcoming festivities, some fans are still understandably concerned about a number of bugs and glitches in Dead by Daylight. For example, Dead by Daylight's latest DLC launched last week, featuring a collaboration with the Resident Evil franchise. The Resident Evil DLC includes a new map based on Raccoon City's Police Department, which could be explored in Capcom's remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.

Unfortunately, the Resident Evil DLC's newest map addition has been inactive since it launched, due to glitches that resulted in players' games crashing. With Dead by Daylight's 5th Anniversary around the corner, it would be a great way for fans to celebrate if the RPD map was repaired and active during the festivities.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S.
