Naomi Randall is the second major boss players fight in Scarlet Nexus if playing as Yuito Sumeragi. The first boss is the Gunkin Perry, occurring at the end of the game's prologue, but Naomi Randall is considerably more difficult. This article contains story spoilers for Scarlet Nexus.
The sister of protagonist Kasane Randall, Naomi appears throughout her storyline but crosses paths with Yuito a number of times as well. She harnesses a special ability, allowing her to see danger in the near future. During Phase 2, after traversing the subway station with Yuito's squad, tragedy occurs. Foreseeing the future, Naomi shields her sister from an attack, but instead of dying, she unexpectedly turns into an Other, the most dangerous Yuito has fought so far. During this fight, Yuito will have two OSF members on his team: Gemma, who he had worked with earlier on in Scarlet Nexus during Phase 1, and Tsumugi, who Yuito more recently teamed up with. While Gemma's sclerokinesis abilities are useful for creating a shield, effectively blocking a heavy amount of damage Yuito can take, understanding Tsumugi's abilities are instrumental to defeating Naomi Randall's Other.
Tsumugi's power is known as clairvoyance. Avid gamers would know that this ability generally allows for some form of second sight or lighting a path to the goal. For Tsumugi, it allows Yuito to see invisible enemies or enemies hidden by cover such as fog. But Tsumugi's power also enhances the perfect dodge ability, another key to beating Naomi Randall.
Naomi Randall's first enemy phase is deceptively easy. She won't attack much but instead will flail on the ground, allowing Yuito and his party to take some whacks at her weak spot, the bed of flowers. She'll do this until about half of her health has depleted. Then, she'll turn over, and the real fight will begin.
Throughout the fight, skirt Naomi's attacks using the dodge move and keep at a distance. Occasionally, she'll kick up some dirt, covering the playing field with dust. Use Tsumugi's clairvoyance to find Naomi, but this will also make landing perfect dodges much easier. Landing perfect dodges also allows Yuito to deal exponentially more damage to enemies. Using clairvoyance, continuously perform perfect dodges and attack Naomi's weak spot. Use Gemma's sclerokinesis to block damage while clairvoyance recharges. Repeat these actions until Naomi Randall is defeated. Yuito's psychokinesis won't be used much throughout the fight.
Additionally, Yuito will likely need to heal several times while taking on Naomi, so make sure he and his allies are stocked up with plenty of jelly before going in.
