Call of Duty: Warzone’s FARA 83 Assault Rifle is still part of the meta, and NICKMERCS shares an updated build for the gun because of that.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans have a lot of options when it comes to their loadout weapon, as there are plenty of strong guns in the game. However, NICKMERCS stands by the FARA 83, as the pro player believes it is more viable in Call of Duty: Warzone than ever before.

Opening his video by bringing up the recent MG 82 nerf, NICKMERCS points out that everyone is trying to find the next best gun inside the battle royale game. He then adds that it has already been found, saying that “all the pros” are using the FARA 83. Labeling the gun as the “new meta,” the FaZe co-owner seems to agree with his fellow professional players. For those that are always looking to use the best gun in the game, it seems like there is a clear choice once again.

This is not actually the first time NICKMERCS has recommended the FARA. Sharing a FARA 83 loadout back in April, the pro has always had an appreciation for the gun. However, there is an important difference between these two setups. While his original setup for the weapon was built around close quarters play, as he used it as a companion piece to a more reliable gun, this new FARA is now the center of his loadout. Treating it as a proper primary, NICKMERCS gives the gun extra range, ammo, and accuracy at the cost of some movement speed.

Call of Duty: Warzone players will want to start off their loadouts with the Axial Arms 3x Optic. A fan favorite sight for NICKMERCS and others, it helps any primary gun thrive in mid to long range fights. Next up, NICKMERCS recommends the 18.7” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel, an attachment that boosts range. The GRU Suppressor only improves range further, with the must-have muzzle also keeping players off enemy radars. For better accuracy, NICKMERCS also recommends the Spetsnaz Grip.

Rounding out the list of attachments used on the FARA is the Spetsnaz 60 Rnd magazine, something that helps balance out the fire rate of the weapon. With fights often lasting long inside Call of Duty: Warzone, especially in squads, having the ability to keep firing is crucial. Overall, this build is the complete opposite of the one NICKMERCS shared back in April. While that one made the FARA into an SMG, this meta loadout transforms it into an LMG. Given NICKMERCS’ fondness for the PKM, this setup certainly fits with its style.

  • Optic: Axial Arms 3X
  • Barrel: 18.7” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Ammunition: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd

With the buff to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachments also making the XM4 Assault Rifle more viable, fans have a few choices in the Season 4 meta. However, if NICKMERCS had to choose one of the two, he has made it clear that it would be the FARA 83.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
