Here is everything you need to know about Muffy: a sisterly sheep villager that players can invite to their island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

While the Animal Crossing series has been long-standing, there continue to be new villagers being added to the roster. With a variety of different species of animals, the sheep make a total of sixteen villagers including names such as Dom, Pietro, Stella and of course, Muffy.

Muffy is a sisterly villager, meaning she may put up a tough front, but has a caring and protective nature that makes it easy for players to warm up to her. Sisterly villagers are less vain than snooty villagers such as the deer Diana, or peppy ones like the cat villager Tabby, but personality types like Muffy still care about their appearance and how others perceive her. Muffy will get along with jock and lazy villagers, but she may come into conflict with snooty, cranky, and even normal villagers.

Muffy is a black sheep with pink and purple striped horns, bright blue eyes, and a white face with what looks like blush and black lipstick added. The name "muffy" is most-likely inspired by Muffy's horns and headband looking like a pair of earmuffs. When first meeting Muffy in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, she is wearing a purple dress with ruffles and a white headband. Muffy made her first appearance in Animal Crossing: New Leaf with similar gothic design and furniture, but has also appeared as a visiting villager in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp where her preferred theme is "elegant."

Muffy's style references gothic lolita fashion including her own abode in New Horizons that has dark brown interior and exterior with splashes of purple added as an accent. Some of Muffy's house accessories include a pink lily record player that plays "K.K. Sonata," black antique bed, sewing machine(s), a black iron worktable and closet, as well as an outfit display - she requires "an ornately decorated room" as her home request. Muffy's house in New Leaf includes mostly furniture from the Rococo series available at the Nookling stores.

Most sheep villagers' birthdays fall under the date range of the horoscope Aries (as reference to the horoscope symbol being a ram); however, Muffy's birthday is on February 14th - Valentine's day - making her an Aquarius. Muffy's catch phrase was initially only in Japanese, meaning "good job," but now is known in New Horizons as "nightshade." Muffy is also known to roam around until very late at night.

While there may be an abundance of sheep villagers to choose from in New Horizons compared to other unique species like the pink octopus villager Marina, Muffy stands out as a unique and loyal companion. She may be intimidating when offering to fight off anyone who is inconveniencing the player, but her caring and sisterly nature will overall be the highlight of this villager's stay.
