Call of Duty: Warzone players run into a frustrating bug that locks the player animation when deploying an RC-XD on Rebirth Island.

While the free to play Call of Duty: Warzone remains incredibly popular for fans of battle royales, players have come to accept the fact that the experience may never be 100% flawless. Bugs and glitches have become commonplace in the game through out its current lifespan, with new issues being added with each update. Just recently, players found a door that instantly downed anyone who dared to touch it inside of the Verdansk Salt Mines area.

While that issue is now fixed, there are still numerous others that continue to frustrate players who are unfortunately struck by them during matches. Whether it is a bug that prevents players from turning in their bounty for cash, red door safe rooms that are breaking matches, or even a recently found one that lets players melee through walls, players are no longer the only danger in each match that threatens to ruin the game. Now, players need to add another item that could break their game to the seemingly expanding list.

Over on the Call of Duty: Warzone subReddit, a new thread has quickly gained steam regarding a new glitch that ultimately ruins a match. Kicked off by Evening_Positive9001, the player was in a duos match on the Rebirth Island match. After locating a RC-XD, an explosive remote controlled car, the player goes to deploy it to use it against a set of enemies off in the distance. Like most killstreaks, the RC-XD plays a short animation of the player calling it in and using a tablet like screen to activate it.

With the car active, the player drove it and detonated it as expected, but once the car was gone, the camera went back to the player character who remained stationary with the tablet screen still open. Unfortunately, the player was stuck in this deployment screen, unable to move or shoot, leaving them completely defenseless to opposing players and all but guaranteeing a loss. All in all, this doesn't appear to be happening every time the RC-XD is being used, but at the moment, it is game breaking and will ruin matches.

While bugs and glitches still threaten to undermine matches, Raven continues to plug away at the game with content additions, balancing efforts, and other fixes. Recently, the studio managed to nerf the MG 82 LMG, a weapon that the community identified as being overpowered. After plenty of community feedback, the controversial Dead Silence perk is also getting adjustments, though the studio hasn't detailed specifics, it is working on what it calls counterplay options to make things more fair for all players.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
