Loki is halfway done and Marvel Studios' new preview includes never-before-seen footage from the final episodes of the Disney Plus show.

Marvel Studios' Loki is already halfway done and fans are curious to see how the Disney Plus series will wrap up the God of Mischief's misadventures in just three episodes. Now, a new preview offers fans a glimpse at the final episodes of the series, and it appears the titular trickster will be in more than just a bit of trouble.

The first three episodes of Loki, the third original series from Marvel Studios to date, follow the alternate version of the God of Mischief who escaped captivity after the Battle of New York during the Avengers' time-traveling heist in Endgame. Apprehended by the Time Variance Authority, an organization created by the Time Lords to prevent the sacred timeline from diverging into an endless stream of multiverses, Loki is tasked with helping the TVA track down another variant of himself under the supervision of Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius, although the latter's co-workers are less than enthusiastic to have the trickster god on their side.

The skepticism of Mobius' co-workers may have proven to be justified after the second episode of Loki, which concluded with the mischievous scamp following the wanted variant through a portal after discovering this homicidal, alternate version of himself was a woman. In the third episode, this portal led both tricksters back to the TVA, where the woman Loki, Sylvie, seemingly attempted to reach the Time Lord's until Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief thwarted her efforts by transporting them to Lamentis-1, a moon that he did not know was soon to be crushed by a planet. Despite their best efforts to escape the doomed moon, the episode concluded with Loki and Sylvie watching helplessly as meteors destroyed the only vessel that could provide them salvation. While the new Loki sneak peek mostly recapped the aforementioned events, it also provided new footage from the remaining three episodes, confirming both versions of the God of Mischief will survive, as if there was any doubt.

In the final thirty seconds of the new preview, viewers are treated to action-packed footage that includes scenes of a massive ship crash landing on the ground after seemingly appearing out of the sky from nowhere. There's also a stunning shot of Loki and Sylvie sitting by a shallow pool of water as they watch nearby meteors destroy Lamentis-1, indicating that even though they both survive, it will be a close call. However, their survival doesn't appear to come without consequences, as both versions of the God of Mischief are shown to be apprehended by the TVA. In a more comical moment, Hiddleston's Loki voices his objection over Sylvie receiving far more security than him.

Absent from the new sneak preview are the Time Lords and any indication of what has happened to the sacred timeline after Sylvie created multiple branched timelines. Nonetheless, with the knowledge that the multiverse will play heavily into Marvel Studios' future films, it appears Kevin Feige's promise that Loki would have significant implications for the MCU was true.

Another noteworthy aspect of the Loki preview is Mobius' continued efforts to remind the God of Mischief that he could become a good person. Whether that pans out or not remains to be seen.

Loki episodes 1-3 are now available on Disney Plus.
