In a recent Twitch stream, content creator xQc reveals that excessive police raids were the primary reason for moving out of his previous home.

The career of streaming on Twitch grants an individual an incredibly large amount of spotlight. Unfortunately, not all of that attention is benevolent, as some malicious viewers practice what is known as swatting. Essentially, a viewer takes advantage of streamers' public addresses and phone numbers with the intent of sending police to raid a streamer's house under a false pretense. As a far too frequent victim of the heinous act, xQc revealed in a recent stream that excessive police raids served as the primary reason behind his relocation.

It wasn't too long ago that xQc revealed that he would be streaming from fellow Twitch warlord Sodapoppin's house. At first, he stated that his house was going through renovations. However, as xQc's number of gambling streams began to grow, some theorized that the streamer was preparing for a move to Canada. On the other hand, some clips of xQc that gained traction prior to now hinted that the streamer was already under a lot of stress. Wanting to clear the air with his chat, xQc went into the true reason behind his desire to move.

xQc stated that long before the gambling drama was a major issue, they were dealing with excessive police raids. The rate at which the raids happened was enough that, according to xQc, meant that the raids were coming nearly every day. At that point, xQc was thoroughly convinced that his life was in danger.

Note that the following clip uses some offensive language.

Before moving back to Canada, xQc reached out to his fellow Twitch streamers in Austin to see what they thought. However, something worse almost convinced xQc to move regardless of what his friends said. He doesn't go into further detail, although xQc does note that the police in Austin were both smart and professional. In fact, after the first raid, the police would give him a heads-up prior to arriving.

What's even more shocking is that xQc was forced to establish a way to clear the room for the police while mid-stream. Whenever the police would arrive and begin clearing the rooms, xQc would provide the officers with a visual signal. This signal informed the police that the room was clear, and didn't have anyone hiding in a corner or otherwise not seen. It happened so many times that even xQc himself couldn't remember, though he specified that whenever he looked towards his left and inquired about food, he was likely facing a fully-armed S.W.A.T. team.

xQc noted that swatting is something he deals with all the time, though the stress was overwhelming. Despite his high energy and level of competitiveness, one thing is clear - even popular streamers like xQc are only human. Swatting is an extremely traumatic experience for anyone to go through and a terrible crime to commit. Thankfully, it would seem that for Twitch streamer xQc, moving in with his friends has remedied his fears for now.
