Call of Duty: Warzone has a new texture pack that will improve the graphics on next-gen platforms for sharper in-game visuals.

Call of Duty: Warzone recently added a texture pack update back in March, but now the developers have released another graphics update for Season 4. This update is optional, but if installed, it will further increase the file size of the title on most platforms. The newest texture pack is designed to target the graphical quality of the Call of Duty: Warzone environment with an added focus on improving the game for next-gen systems.

The Call of Duty: Warzone texture pack is completely optional and weighs in at 7GB of space across consoles. Fans can find the option available on the PS5, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, and PC platforms. The pack also requires that fans have access to a monitor that can display 1440p images to take advantage of the graphical increase.

This is the fifth texture pack to release for Call of Duty: Warzone, and like the others, it is designed to complement specific set-ups. Rather than enforcing change across all platforms, these optional texture packs offer a solution to changing and evolving systems. The pack was released on June 30th and is designed to improve visual quality for 1440p resolution screens. It is not available on the base PS4 or Xbox One consoles, as the platforms can not output the proper resolution. While the details of what the pack specifically changes are unknown, but it is believed that it makes the general environment look sharper on modern platforms.

This pack is distinct from the texture pack released back in March. Where the March pack focused on operator and weapon textures, this pack is expected to be applied mainly to the game's environment. With Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 changing the map environment, this texture pack may be an attempt to further increase fan immersion in the virtual world.

Fans are returning to the Call of Duty: Warzone city of Verdansk after season 4 added fresh new content into the mix. With a satellite falling out of the sky and new weapons and vehicles available, this graphics pack is well-timed to improve the game further for the dedicated community.

Many players believe that the graphic packs are a good way for Call of Duty: Warzone to stay modern and fresh without outdating old platforms. Rather than requiring next-gen systems, fans can continue to enjoy the title while next-gen players get their own independent improvements. Call of Duty: Warzone will most likely see more graphic packs in its future as technology continues to offer sharper resolutions for console and PC audiences.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
