Twitch streamer xQc fires back at fellow streamer Amouranth after she criticized the gambling streams he recently quit making.

Streamer criticism continues to run rampant on Twitch, with the ASMR meta being one of the latest trends to stir up opinions. The meta saw big streamers like Amouranth and Indiefoxx temporarily banned after they put content on Twitch featuring themselves suggestively licking microphones in yoga pants. Several streamers called out the ASMR meta as too sexually suggestive, including Asmongold, Pokimane, and xQc. However, Amouranth recently fired back at xQc, criticizing his gambling content.

Another recent trend on Twitch, gambling streams have caused concerned streamers to speak out as well. These streams have sometimes shown popular streamers using VPNs to gamble on websites they would not otherwise be able to access in the United States. Twitch has a dedicated category for these streams called "Slots." Among others, xQc recently joined the gambling meta and has been making a lot of content where he risks money. Some streamers have complained about xQc's gambling streams, claiming he is promoting gambling to minors and possibly gambling illegally.

But xQc has once again fired back at his critics, this time responding specifically to Amouranth's comments. A recent tweet from Amouranth said that xQc enjoyed criticizing hot tub streams because "it took attention away from the gamba stuff" and that he was in no position to attack her for her content choices. xQc has responded by referencing the Slots category on Twitch, saying it "HAS NO TOS implications, none!" He also said that Amouranth's hot tub streams and ASMR content has the potential to "explode in Twitch's face."

xQc further elaborates by saying that his issues with Amouranth's content are not about the specific things she's doing on stream, but how they affect Twitch's Terms of Service guidelines. "It's about Terms of Service and how it affects us," he said. He points out times during his streams where he thought he was going to be banned for unknowingly showing videos that had rule-breaking content on them, while Amouranth and Indiefoxx can apparently wear overly revealing outfits and not get banned. However, xQc did recently quit gambling streams because he found himself forming an addiction.

While it is true that Twitch does have a Slots category, the site also recently created a Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category which still contains many hot tub streamers. Both xQc and Amouranth have received temporary Twitch bans during their careers, but they both continue to retain their partnerships. Some viewers speculate that the back and forth attacks between Twitch streamers are deliberate attempts to cause drama and draw attention to their channels. Regardless, the debate over gambling streams and sexually suggestive content is likely to continue and will only change if/when Twitch decides to make changes to TOS guidelines.
