After a week of frantic searching, Twitch streamer MikeyPerk's missing daughter Sarah has been found safe with help from multiple tipsters who learned about her from the flyers and Twitter videos shared across platforms. MikeyPerk has uploaded a video to YouTube thanking his fans for their hard work and promising a larger video explaining the full situation at some point in the future. As of this writing, he has yet to comment on whether this will affect his Twitch streaming schedule.
MikeyPerk's daughter went missing on the night of June 25 after she snuck out of the house to attend a party with friends. This seemingly mundane act of disobedience took a turn for the worse when the 17-year-old apparently left with older partygoers rather than staying with her friend group. Sarah remained missing for five days before being found late on July 1.

According to MikeyPerk, there is a long story behind Sarah's disappearance, and he intends to share it with the community that worked so hard to find his daughter. However, when he uploaded the video titled "SARAH HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!," it was very early in the morning and he claimed to be too tired to go into detail. Presently, the response to his video and the accompanying tweet have been overwhelmingly supportive. Twitch streamers spend much of their lives in the public eye, which can have unfortunate consequences--xQc had to move because of near-daily police raids--but it appears that MikeyPerk's decision to turn to the internet to find Sarah worked out.
Many Twitch streamers are involved in online controversy, but it's rarer to see a streamer involved in such a nightmarish crisis. A missing or runaway child is an emergency that could affect any family, which may be why there was such a surge of support as well as criticism for MikeyPerk. The #FINDSARAH hashtag has been circulating around Twitter, and according to MikeyPerk, was one of the main reasons people called in to report sightings of Sarah. Viewers may have difficulty sympathizing with Indiefoxx losing her Twitch partnership, but most people can relate to the fear of losing a child.
MikeyPerk used his existing Twitch platform to boost his message as well as other social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube. Fortunately, despite Twitch streamers often living in fear of sudden bans, he didn't lose access to his Twitch account during the emergency. One Twitch streamer was banned for 3 months by mistake even though he did try and get in contact with the company, so it seems very possible that MikeyPerk could have been banned in the middle of the search for Sarah.
