Destiny 2 players run into new cheat in Trials of Osiris that allows the cheaters to drain their enemy's health from any distance.

The competitive side of any game like Destiny 2 will often bring in players looking to prove themselves against others in increasingly difficult formats for better and better prizes. However, while many players do their best to earn this special loot, there are plenty willing to cheat in Destiny 2 in order to come out on top.

One new cheat has started to affect players' experiences in the Trials of Osiris playlist as it allows players to drain their opponent's health from a much larger distance than should be possible. Considering the competitive nature of this game mode, running into cheaters like this can really kill the mood for some Destiny 2 players who are on their way to the coveted flawless run.

This newest cheat involves using the Titan wall during any crucible match in order to damage any opposing players who might either accidentally or hastily run right through it. However, instead of the damage zone being centered on the wall itself, as is most common from the Titan class in Destiny 2, the cheat causes damage to radiate throughout the entire map. The result is that players are entirely drained of their shielding in a second, with no way to stop taking damage and giving the cheaters an opportunity to quickly rush the enemy team for a quick wipe.

In the above video, Destiny 2 player LUCKYY 10P runs into someone using this cheat, and it can be seen that their shields are instantly drained and kept down with little apparent reason. The cheat activating clearly catches the player off guard and leads to a quick death at the end of what had otherwise been an ordinary match in Trials of Osiris. Both the player and others commenting on the video have already started stating their distain for Destiny 2 cheaters, especially when it comes to tainting the competitive spirit of game modes like Trials of Osiris or even the standard Crucible.

It's unfortunate that running into cheaters is still such a common occurrence in online games, especially in activities where there are powerful rewards on the line. Bungie does have several anti-cheat systems in place to try to keep this type of behavior down as much as possible, but it is a constant struggle from any developer in this situation to stamp down every issue as they come up. For now, players might want to be prepared when signing into Destiny 2 for Trials of Osiris or any other competitive multiplayer, as it is always possible to run into these types of cheaters.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
