Treyarch releases a teaser for the next Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies perk, and it should look extremely familiar to longtime fans.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans are quickly approaching the release of the highly anticipated Mauer Der Toten. While little is known about the Survival map thus far, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players have at least been shown the perk that will likely release alongside it.

For some time now, gamers have assumed that Double Tap would debut inside Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War next. With the perk being the most likely to have an impact on the mode’s meta, as its double damage would allow fully automatic weapons to shine, the addition would have made sense. With a Double Tap poster also seen on the multiplayer map Diesel, fans were set on the idea that it would be the next perk to debut. However, Treyarch’s new teaser has confirmed that a different perk will be coming.

Double Tap fans will need to wait a bit longer to see the perk-a-cola in action once again, as Mule Kick will be returning in Mauer Der Toten. Treyarch’s latest Twitter post showed the can design for the drink, which features guns firing as well as a bull skull. At the top, Spanish writing can be seen, confirming that the perk will likely be keeping its classic jingle. If it is anything like Tombstone in Firebase Z, gamers can expect the Mule Kick machine to get a major revamp.

As for what Mule Kick will do, fans can expect it to have the default ability of letting them hold three guns. Beyond that, it will be interesting to see how the perk is expanded upon via the upgrade tiers. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies, the modifier ability saw the third gun being restored whenever the perk was purchased again. Some version of that skill could return, possibly even being expanded upon to let players keep their third weapon even if they go down.

While it may not be as exciting as Double Tap, Mule Kick coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is certainly a welcome addition. It also adds to the legitimacy of the Zombies perk leak that happened shortly after launch. The leak included jingles for Double Tap, PhD Flopper, Mule Kick, and Tombstone. With Tombstone already in the game, and Mule Kick now set to accompany it, players should expect Double Tap and PhD Flopper to arrive during the game’s final Seasons.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s five-gun glitch will likely be patched soon, Mule Kick’s arrival should allow players to feel that same level of power inside Zombies. For those excited about the perk, its debut should only be a few weeks away.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
