Players that need devastating partners to match with Childe should consider these characters.

Team management is the name of the game in Genshin Impact. From creating elemental reactions to team roles to even height differences, everything must be taken into account. That said, there exists one character in the world of Teyvat that operates completely differently compared to other characters.

Childe, aka Tartaglia, represents the Fatui in the Liyue-arc of the story. As a war-hungry warrior, Tartaglia fights with a grand mix of Hydro-infused melee and ranged attacks. This mix makes the Fatui Harbinger one of the most versatile fighters and one of the hardest to pair but some characters make better teammates than others.

10 Qiqi

When icy Cryo meets Hydro, it makes for a frozen reaction. However, what happens when an excellent Cryo healer meets a war-hardened Hydro fighter. Qiqi and Tartaglia make an excellent team, with Qiqi's automated Cryo healing abilities blending easily with Tartaglia's constant melee.

Players often underestimate the strength of a good healer. When fighting close up and personal, especially against harder opponents like the Ruin Hunter, Tartaglia takes a lot of damage. Qiqi counteracts this with her elemental skill, summoning a Herald of Frost to both heal and inflict Cryo damage.

9 Keqing

Electro's electrocharged reaction is the best Hydro reaction for crowded situations. Electrocuting every enemy in the area affected by the status, one of Keqing's merits lays in her ability to easily access this reaction.

Tartaglia is one of the best characters to apply Hydro status to opponents (second to catalyst-users like Mona and Barbara.) Mixed in with an expert in applying Electro status, these two make for one of the best combinations for crowd warfare.

8 Fischl

Not everybody has five-star characters like Keqing, especially players that play without spending money. While playing the banners smartly will yield better results, some excellent four-star supports for Tartaglia do exist. Fischl is a great alternative to Keqing if players are looking for Electro support.

Not only does Fischl apply Electro with her charged attacks but she also has an automated skill. Her companion Oz can be summoned to shoot Electro projectiles for her, allowing Tartaglia to apply Hydro in the process.

7 Diona

When one borderlines between a frontliner and a ranged fighter, taking damage becomes an everyday occurrence. While a good designated healer can make up for this, a support healer makes for a better usage of a team slot. Diona suits this bill for Tartaglia.

Diona's burst creates a temporary zone for healing, allowing Tartaglia to continue to fight while regaining health. This doesn't even mention Diona's amazing use of shields and Cryo application, which help dodge damage and create frozen reactions respectively. Players will find that Diona makes for one of the best support healers for Tartaglia in more ways than one.

6 Xiangling

Much like Fischl, Xiangling offers an automated way to bring Pyro to the battlefield. Her companion, a bear named Guoba, targets opponents in her stead with his fiery breath. Guoba may not be the most accurate, but this hardly will matter against a large crowd of Hilichurls.

In addition, Xiangling's burst (which summons three swirling fire wheels) can be transferred to another character. This is a perfect combination with Tartaglia's melee mode, making for easy-to-access vaporize reactions when he enters his melee mode.

5 Hu Tao

Xiangling may be the original Pyro polearm but Hu Tao offers a completely different side of the puzzle. Tartaglia's ability to act as both a support and a DPS truly shows in this situation. Hu Tao is among the best DPS characters in the game, ranking up with characters like Diluc and Ganyu.

Hu Tao's talents infuse her polearm with Pyro, which does high damage on its own with just charged attacks. With Tartaglia in the support role, inflicting enemies with Hydro, Hu Tao's damage can easily be doubled or more.

4 Beidou

Two battle-hardened warriors and commanders of their respective groups? It's no surprise that the hardliner Beidou would make for an amazing DPS partner to Tartaglia. Beidou offers not only easy-to-access electro-charged reactions for crowded situations but also a skill that can stall during Tartaglia's cooldown phase.

Beidou's skill is among the most hard-hitting skills in the game. Generating a temporary shield, her claymore slash will hit harder the more damage she takes. Her potential to hit more than one opponent leads to devastating results should she hit a crowd after an assault from Tartaglia.

3 Sucrose

It's fairly well-known that Sucrose is among the best with elemental reactions. Sucrose's elemental mastery goes a long way for any partner with a skill outside Anemo and Geo. Tartaglia does exempt himself from Sucrose's mastery.

Sucrose could work very well in both the DPS or support positions. As a DPS, she makes use of Tartaglia's Hydro-infused attacks to increase her swirl damage. As a support, she offers excellent crowd control with her talents for tactical assistance.

2 Yanfei

Despite her new addition to the franchise, Liyue's top legal specialist has already accrued a hefty reputation. Yanfei's skill with rapid-fire Pyro projectiles features both easy applications of burn status and considerable damage.

This makes her a perfect teammate for players wanting to enhance their Tartaglia gameplay. Should the opponent actually survive Yanfei's weights then a vaporized assault from Tartaglia will finish the job.

1 Diluc

High-powered damage, easy-to-use Pyro talents, Diluc is ironically the best partner to the Fatui Harbinger. What makes Diluc such a good partner is his ability to act as both a DPS and support to Tartaglia. With easy-to-use Pyro infusion, Diluc can act the DPS and hold his own or switch roles when his health is low.

Both Diluc's skill and burst work to bring Pyro-infusion to his normal attacks. For his skill, it effectively becomes a part of his normal attack sequence. His burst infuses his blade for a temporary period making the process even simpler. No character is better for setting up Tartaglia for vaporizing reactions.
