Call of Duty: Warzone already has its fair share of bugs and glitches, and now players discover an exploit involving the crossbow weapon.

Despite Activision and Raven Software's efforts, there are routine complaints from Call of Duty: Warzone players about the game suffering from bugs, glitches, and hackers. In fact, an anti-cheat analyst has said that hackers are now spreading onto the console versions of the game as well, meaning console players can no longer avoid cheaters by disabling cross-play. And now players have discovered a specific, but no less annoying, exploit involving the game's R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow weapon.

This crossbow isn't a new addition, having been added to the game during Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 (specifically, the Season 2 which followed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War), and isn't even particularly popular either due to its low damage and slow projectile speed. However, Reddit user Demolitions75 has shared footage demonstrating how unintentionally deadly it can be.

Specifically, they somehow realized it can be used to down Call of Duty Warzone's attack helicopters in one hit, even friendly ones. In the footage, the player is seen doing exactly that on multiple helicopters. How long this has been possible is unknown but it is worryingly easy to pull off.

Demolitions75 suspects that it's the result of a bug where the game treats the helicopter being hit with the weapon as if it has collided with a non-world object, like a loadout box or another Warzone vehicle. They add that it doesn't work 100% of the time, and may require the helicopter to be titled slightly and moving at full speed. And as useful as it may be, it doesn't even count as a kill; the game treats it as if the pilot crashed and counts it as a suicide instead.

Even if it isn't always guaranteed to work, word of this could lead to the weapon becoming more commonplace and risk making helicopters completely invalid. At the time of writing. Raven Software has yet to comment on the exploit so it's not clear how long players will have to wait before it gets resolved.

Warzone is not alone when it comes infuriating bugs such as this. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players also find themselves regularly coming across game disrupting issues. Earlier this week, it was discovered that napalm strikes can cause temporary earthquakes that cause the screen to shake so much, players can't tell what's going on. While some argue that it makes the game unplayable, others are less annoyed by it and actually find it funny.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
