Game of Thrones fans disappointed by the final season, there's a show called Sense8 you might want to check out.

The ending of Game of Thrones disappointed many fans. Luckily, there is a solution for those disappointed fans. There is another show, where instead of fighting each other, characters join together against a common enemy. (Sound like season 8 of Game of Thrones before it got bad?) A sci-fi series that asks its audience intriguing questions about what it means to be human and features interesting characters. This show deserves more love and it'd be a good option for disappointed Game of Thrones fans. The show in question is Netflix's Sense8.

Sense8 is not as long as Game of Thrones, yet it is no less interesting for that. It packs an intriguing tale and well-written characters into its two seasons. And don't worry, the ending won't leave fans disappointed. Although the show probably could've gone on past its ending, all the main plot points are wrapped up. They are also wrapped up in a way that respects all of the characters. Imagine that! Sense8 is science fiction, so it also takes viewers on a compelling journey. Though like with Game of Thrones, Sense8's journey is realistic. The characters are all realistic as well, and fans will love following them from one adventure to the next. Created by the same people as The Matrix, Sense8 is a hidden gem that just might satisfy those disappointed by the final season of Game of Thrones.

For those who are unaware, the basic premise of Sense8 is this: there are 8 people all around the world who are connected to each other, mentally and emotionally. These "sensates" as they're called, can help each other get out of sticky situations. And they encounter many. Because there is a group known as the Biologic Preservation Organization (BPO) that is hunting them down. BPO has a sensate working for them, who is known to the main characters only as Whispers. Because Whispers is also a sensate, he is the ideal person to find the cluster, which is what a group of sensates is called. Luckily, Sense8's main cluster has a sensate on their side too. A man who is known as Jonas Maliki. Jonas helps certain members of the cluster come to terms with being sensates.

The main cluster is made up of Will Gorski (Brian J. Smith), Riley Blue (Tuppence Middleton), Capheus Onyango (Aml Ameen/Toby Onwumere), Sun Bak (Doona Bae), Lito Rodriguez (Miguel Silvestre), Kala Dandekar (Tina Desai), Wolfgang Bogdanow (Max Riemelt) and Nomi Marks (Jamie Clayton).

Like in Game of Thrones, Sense8's main characters are all equally interesting. Luckily, the cluster gets more respect from their writers than the protagonists of Game of Thrones did in the end. Sense8 would also appeal to Game of Thrones fans due to its more mature nature. It does not shy away from nudity or controversial topics, however, unlike in Game of Thrones, the more mature elements of Sense8 are never added gratuitously. All of the more mature scenes serve the story and the development of the characters and are treated with respect.

There are also the messages that the show gets across, which are a lot better than the messages Game of Thrones had in the end. The main characters of Sense8 often question who they are and their greater place in the world. But unlike the protagonists of Game of Thrones, they always have each other to lean on. While Game of Thrones seems to send the message that it is impossible to escape one's past, Sense8 tells its audience that all that matters is who you truly are. No one is above anyone else, but in a similar way, no one is below anyone else either. It's heartwarming, and a welcome change from the dark and gritty nature of Game of Thrones. Yet don't worry, there's plenty of intensity in Sense8. There's loads of action and the characters regularly need to fight to survive.

Still, it is nice to see characters working together towards a common goal. And there's plenty of that in Sense8. The overall message of the series seems to be that people are stronger together than they are apart. And that's a much nicer message than the only the strongest survive message of Game of Thrones.

Of course, not every fan will agree. Some Game of Thrones fans might find Sense8 too corny, with too many moments of real emotion. Yet for those who don't, Sense8 is a good, more diverse, alternative to Game of Thrones. If an amazing show is what one is looking for, Sense8 definitely fits that description. And with well-written characters and an intriguing plot, Sense8 might remind some Game of Thrones fans of the HBO series. This gem is definitely not one that anyone would want to miss out on. So any Game of Thrones fans who haven't, why not give Sense8 a try? It's definitely worth a watch.
