JGOD reveals his loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone’s RPD, and the expert’s build sees players being able to fire the LMG with no recoil at all.

Call of Duty: Warzone has plenty of viable weapons, but few classes can provide the consistency of an LMG. While Call of Duty: Warzone has a few LMGs that players can choose from, YouTuber JGOD believes fans should give the RPD a try.

With the MG 82 falling from grace and the PKM’s slow fire rate not being for everyone, the RPD is a solid weapon for LMG fans. Boasting the huge clip size and all-important range that one would expect from a bulkier weapon, it ticks all the boxes that an LMG should. As pointed out by JGOD, gamers that struggle with managing recoil should also consider giving the weapon a chance. In fact, the YouTuber believes the “no recoil” title for his loadout is a fair assessment.

While the Call of Duty community will usually throw out that phrase for any accurate weapon, JGOD’s video proves that it is entirely accurate in this scenario. After the “first 15-20 shots,” the gun’s recoil pattern will disappear, allowing players to keep firing straight in front of them. Given that LMGs are usually used in ranged situations where players will be firing several bullets before ever they let go of the trigger, this recoil dropoff is a big deal. The gun is viewed as “underrated” by JGOD, and it is easy to see why.

Alongside the Milano 821 SMG, JGOD puts on quite the display with his RPD. He also shares which attachments players should use if they are looking to try it out themselves. First, he recommends the GRU Suppressor, a well-rounded attachment for all Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War guns. The 20.3” Task Force Barrel follows, with the Axial Arms 3x Optic used. With most players using the RPD to fight from a distance, this scope makes the most sense.

The Spetsnaz Grip is equipped in the underbarrel slot, helping to balance out the weapon’s firing pattern and perfect JGOD’s accuracy-focused setup. A 120 Round magazine rounds out the build, allowing players to fire the RPD for even longer. As specified by JGOD, this RPD and Milano are specifically built for Rebirth Island. However, these are two completely different weapons from the ones used in pro player NICKMERCS’ Rebirth Island class, as he recommended the XM4 and Kar98k in his own video. As such, it seems like players looking to succeed in the smaller setting have a few good options to choose from.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 20.3” Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Ammunition: 120 Round Mags

With Call of Duty: Warzone’s cheating problem only getting worse, it is hard to blame so many players for switching over to Rebirth Island. For those looking to make the jump, bringing an RPD along for the fight may be wise.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
