One particular quest in Monster Hunter Stories 2 is stumping some players --here's how to beat the Barrel Felyne and claim some rewards.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin may have a dramatic main storyline for players to follow, but there are still other side quests for players to complete. These side quests will often reward monster Riders with experience points, money, and useful items like Charms. The game is chock-full of quests that range from all types of requirements. One quest in particular, however, may cause some trouble for Monster Hunter Stories 2 players.

The Purrnest Felyne at the Felyne Shelter spotted a Felyne out in the field with a barrel stuck on its head. The Felyne wants players to investigate and see if they can lend a hand. This guide will go over how to find the Barrel Felyne in Pomore Garden to complete the Barrel Break Out quest.

If players walk out of the Felyne Shelter, they'll end up back in Pomore Garden. This area's pretty large, so finding the Felyne with the barrel might prove to be annoying for some. However, the location of the Felyne is marked on the map below with a red circle. If players have gained the ability to fly with their Rathalos, getting to this spot can be done much faster.

Players will find the animal walking around, and once they interact with it, they will enter a fight. Players won't have to rely on their Monstie's power, though, because only one item is needed to destroy the barrel and free the Felyne from it.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin players will need to go into their inventory and use a Big Barrel Bomb to defeat the Barrel Felyne. Once the explosive item is used once, the barrel will break, and the Felyne will be free. If players try to use their normal attacks to hit the Felyne, barely any damage will be dished out, and the barrel will not break.

Now that the task has been completed, players can go back to the Felyne Shelter to speak to the quest giver. The quest will be completed, and the cat will reward players with some Zenny, XP for leveling up, and 3 training charms, which can be used at the Prayer Pot in town to increase the number of experience points that Monsties gain during battles for a limited time.
