Outriders is in a very good state at the moment, and with the boost to Legendary drops, players are looking for great builds to solo CT15s.

Despite the issues that plagued Outriders in the first month after its release, the game has gradually become much better since release, with a few key improvements. Among them, the rather recent increase to Legendary items' drop rate was what helped the community farm missing set pieces to make their builds, or even weapons to get those incredibly powerful Tier 3 mods, like Moaning Winds and Shadow Comet. Despite the changes, the meta for Outriders and which classes work best for clearing the game's hardest content hasn't really changed all that much, but some builds did see a spike in popularity after YouTubers and content creators shared them online.

One of the most interesting parts of Outriders is crafting new builds by combining interesting passive tree selections with a number of mods, weapons, and armor sets to create something unique. As such, it doesn't come as a surprise that even underused combinations eventually found their place in every bit of content, including CT15s. Even the Devastator, a class that sparked plenty of debates when Outriders first launched, eventually proved to be incredible choices for both solo play and co-op.

This build is mainly focused on Firepower and the use of Twisted Rounds, a very popular skill that allows for incredible DPS as long as it is active, calling for methods to keep the magazine replenished at all times.

The stats to look for to have the highest DPS possible are:

  • Bonus Firepower
  • Close Range Damage
  • Cooldown Reduction

The skills are:

  • Twisted Rounds
  • Hunt the Prey
  • Time Rift

The only weapon players will need is the all-powerful Deathshield, a Legendary shotgun that ranked as the most used gun in the entirety of Outriders, and it doesn't cease to shine. This weapon offers the extremely powerful Tier 3 mod Fortress, which increases damage by 43% of Armor, making investing in damage mitigation a great choice for DPS as well. In this case, the shotgun works best when combined with either of three mods:

  • Dark Sacrifice (during combat obtain 75% bonus Weapon Damage in exchange for Max Health being drained by up to 50%)
  • Embalmer's Rage (after a kill, all shots are critical hits for five seconds)
  • Killing Spree (kills apply a 25% bonus damage to the weapon for 20 seconds, stacks 3 times)

As for the passives, going top tree Assassin is the best bet here, grabbing all shotgun nodes. For the Trickster's armor mods, these are the ones to look for:

  • Pain Transfer (10% Weapon Damage dealt to one enemy transferred to other enemies)
  • Double Time (suspends enemies in the air two times longer with Time Rift)
  • Long Range (triples Time Rift's range)
  • Geiger's Wave (applies Vulnerable to enemies affected by Time Rift)
  • Sharp Eye (kills while aiming down sights grants more Firepower for 20 seconds and stacks three times)
  • Stare into the barrel (boost Firepower for each enemy in close range, stacks five times)
  • Bloodlust (more Firepower on kills, stacks three times)
  • Ammo Bargain (while Twisted Rounds is active, kills replenish 20% of ammo in the magazine)
  • Instant Reload (teleporting with Hunt the Prey immediately replenishes the magazine)

This Anomaly Power Pyromancer build is focused on applying Burn and Ash onto enemies and then using Overheat to deal incredible damage via mods and the Acari Legendary set.

The best options in terms of armor stats include:

  • Anomaly Power
  • Cooldown Reduction
  • Skills Life Leech

The skills are:

  • Heatwave
  • Ash Blast
  • Overheat

The main weapon to use will be again the Deathshield shotgun, with the second mod being Moaning Winds, obtained from another Legendary gun called Anemoi. As for the tree, the best option here is to pick top tree (Ash Breaker) for some insane Anomaly Power nodes it offers, at the cost of a bunch of useless Firepower nodes. Again, for the armor, the Legendary Acari set is a must-have for this build because it grants 50% extra AP for each enemy hit by Heatwave.

Best mods include:

  • Burnt-Out (Heatwave: damaged enemies take 25% more damage for eight seconds)
  • Ashen Boost (damage against enemies with ash increased by 20%)
  • Detonator (decrease Overheat's cooldown by 50%)
  • Tidal Wave (extra Heatwave use)
  • Anomaly Echo (Firepower and AP on skill activation)
  • Death Sentence (Weapon Damage and AP increased by 20% against enemies affected by Ash Blast)
  • Ash Increase Range (Ash Blast has 66% bonus range)
  • Ride the Wave (extra Heatwave use)
  • Master Consumer (Overheat consumes Burn or Ash; consuming both increases damage by 150%)
  • Fire Tsunami (increase width of Heatwave)

This build plays around the Torrential Downpour set for the Technomancer, combined with a few strong mods for a lot of pesky explosions.

The best stats for this build are:

The skills are:

  • Scrapnel
  • Tools of Destruction (rocket launcher)
  • Blighted Turret

The best choice in terms of the tree is the Demolisher, bottom tree Technomancer. The weapon to use is again the Deathshield Legendary shotgun, with either Shadow Comet or Moaning Winds on it. The set to use is called Torrential Downpour, which allows Scrapnel to create cluster bombs after the first explosion, each dealing plenty of extra AP-scaled damage.

These are the armor mods to use:

  • More Traps (extra Scrapnel use)
  • Bang for your Buck (100% extra ammo for the selected tool)
  • Trap Cluster (doubles the number of Scrapnel uses before cooldown)
  • Demolition Man (extra rocket damage)
  • Captain Hunter (25% extra damage vs. Elites)
  • More damage (extra Scrapnel damage)
  • Fine-tuned (extra detection and explosion radius for Scrapnel)
  • Damage Absorber (increase Armor and Resistance by 10%)
  • Supplies (extra Scrapnel use)
  • Untamed Power (using skills deals damage to enemies within five meters equal to 30% AP)

This build makes great use of the Devastator's kit and passive nodes to achieve incredible raw physical damage dealt with bullets.

The stats for the highest DPS possible are:

  • Bonus Firepower
  • Close Range Damage
  • Cooldown Reduction

The skills are:

  • Golem
  • Tremors
  • Gravity Leap

This build makes clever use of the Devastator's top tree, the Vanquisher, which specializes in plenty of Weapon Damage while using Kinetic skills like Gravity Leap and Close Range damage with Shotguns. The best weapon to use is again Deathshield, to the surprise of no one, paired with a really good Tier 3 mod called Ultimate Damage Link, which makes shots link up to four enemies to make them share 40% of the damage dealt to them. This build also uses the Statue's set, which with three pieces equipped grants 100% increased Weapon Damage and Weapon Skill Leech when using Golem or Tremors.

These are the armor mods to look for:

  • Captain Hunter (25% increased damage vs. Elites)
  • Perseverance (Golem has 100% increased duration)
  • Power of the Stones (40% bonus Weapon Damage for eight seconds while Tremor is active)
  • Golem of Death (while Golem is active, it gets 2 bonus seconds to its duration for each kill)
  • Sharp Eye (kills down sights grant Firepower, stacks three times)
  • Bleeding Impulse (while Golem is active, every two seconds radial impulses inflicting Bleed are spawned)
  • Stare into the Barrel (bonus Firepower for each enemy in close range, stacks five times)
  • Vampiric Mag (killing shots replenish 50% ammo in the magazine against Bleeding enemies)
  • Tainted Blood (25% extra damage against bleeding enemies)
  • Bloodlust (killing shots grant Firepower, stacks three times)

Outriders is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
